Joshua completed his Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from McMast University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo.

During his time at the University of Waterloo, Joshua discovered his passion for working with athletes and for rehabilitation. He was a strength and conditioning coach for the varsity sports teams and volunteered in a low back research lab. And he worked in a Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at the University of Guelph upon completing physiotherapy school.

Joshua is passionate about working with his patients in a collaborative fashion to help them achieve their goals, and get back to living a healthy, active lifestyle. He does this by providing a blend of manual therapy and exercise, with an emphasis on education to provide patients with an understanding of their injury and the tools to be active participant in their recovery.

Growing up as a multisport athlete, Joshua had his fair share of injuries and often found himself in the clinic of his physiotherapist, who always helped him in managing his injuries allowing him to compete at his best. He is originally from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.

When not in the clinic, Joshua enjoys hiking, running, cycling, and is currently getting into swimming! He will be competing in his first triathlon at 70.3 Ironman Victoria in May 2024.

He received his Master’s in physiotherapy from the University of Limerick, Ireland, and graduated with honours distinction. Although he pursued education in Ireland, Joseph was born and raised in Victoria. He completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Wellness (aka Kinesiology) from Camosun College, and graduated as class Valedictorian.

He also has a keen interest in osteoarthritis (OA), and has co-authored research relating to exercise and hip/knee OA. Joseph is a strong proponent for evidence-informed practice, and is excited to continuously expand his knowledge and skill base.

Outside of the clinic, Joseph’s interests include all things active. He enjoys strength training in the gym, and plays a variety of sports including basketball, spikeball, golf, and squash.
