Joshua Grawbarger
Joshua completed his Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from McMast University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo.
During his time at the University of Waterloo, Joshua discovered his passion for working with athletes and for rehabilitation. He was a strength and conditioning coach for the varsity sports teams and volunteered in a low back research lab. And he worked in a Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at the University of Guelph upon completing physiotherapy school.
Joshua is passionate about working with his patients in a collaborative fashion to help them achieve their goals, and get back to living a healthy, active lifestyle. He does this by providing a blend of manual therapy and exercise, with an emphasis on education to provide patients with an understanding of their injury and the tools to be active participant in their recovery.
Growing up as a multisport athlete, Joshua had his fair share of injuries and often found himself in the clinic of his physiotherapist, who always helped him in managing his injuries allowing him to compete at his best. He is originally from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.
When not in the clinic, Joshua enjoys hiking, running, cycling, and is currently getting into swimming! He will be competing in his first triathlon at 70.3 Ironman Victoria in May 2024.

Ramzi Hasan
(He/Him/His)
Ramzi completed his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Physiotherapy at The Hashemite University in Jordan in 2003. He worked for the first five years of his career in Jordan, then he moved to work in Saudi Arabia in 2008. Ramzi had stayed working in Saudi Arabi until he moved to Canada in July 2022 to work with Interior Health, and now he is excited to move to Victoria and being one of Arbutus family.
Through his career, he has dealt with a variety of patients, from paediatrics’ conditions to burns cases, from neurological conditions to musculoskeletal ones. Ramzi specialized in post orthopaedics surgeries and musculoskeletal cases, especially Knee, shoulder and spine.
Ramzi has attended many courses and workshops in manual therapy, sports injuries, and epidemiology. In Nov 2025, he will become a certified in GUNN IMS, which is dry needling technique that focusing on Neuropathic Dysfunction.
Ramzi believes and focuses on his practice to make sure patients do understand their conditions very well. He believes that as long as the clients comprehend the whole picture of their complaints, that will definitely accelerate the healing process.
Ramzi has a lovely wife and 3 kids, who is busy with them. He enjoys all out-door activities, and public speaking. He used to be a Karate instructor. He enjoys scuba diving.
Ramzi speaks Arabic and English.
What to expect from Ramzi? Your injury will be explained to you very well; Ramzi will walking you through your complaint until it gets improved, and to working on preventing your injury to happen again. You will be treated by exercises, mobilization and manipulation, rigid tape and Kinesio tape, and variety of other manual therapy techniques (dry needling will come soon), shockwave, ultrasound, and an applicable to go treatment plan.

Jamie Kavanagh
Jamie completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham and her Bachelors in Health Sciences (Honours) with a specialization in Rehabilitations Sciences at Western University. She has additional certifications in Intramuscular Stimulation/ dry needling and Running Gait Assessment and injuries.
Jamie works with her clients to understand their goals and determine the best treatment plan for them. She uses an evidence-based approach involving manual techniques, exercises, and education to help her patients get back to what’s important to them.
Jamie enjoys working with people of all ages and types of conditions. As a runner, she has a special interest in running and sports injuries.

Remy Roest
Remy is a physio-/manual therapist who is originally from the Netherlands, where he finished his physiotherapy Bachelor degree in 2006 and Manual therapy Master degree in 2012.
After working in the Netherlands for +10 years, he moved to California and since August 2023 he lives on Vancouver Island.
Remy specializes in musculoskeletal injuries, ranging from spine related problems to knee- and hip pain. On top of this, he has a special interest in vestibular problems like vertigo, dizziness and difficulties with balance. He likes to use a patient focused, one-on-one approach, consisting of a combination of hands-on manual therapy treatment, education regarding injury and active rehab, based on the patient’s presentation and personal goals.

Harriet (Hatty) Skinner
Hatty completed her Master’s of Physical Therapy at the University of Manitoba. She earned her BSc in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo.
Hatty was recognized at UW for her exceptional volunteer work, both at the local hospital ER, and as an assistant coach for Cancer Exercise Classes. For her honours thesis, Hatty studied the complimentary effects of exercising outdoors.
Hatty coaches patients to be active participants in their recovery. She believes that the best way to help her patients is through tailoring treatment around their goals, and does so with exercise, manual therapy, and pain education.
Hatty is passionate about lifelong learning. She was the first student in her class to take and pass the Orthopaedic Level 1 exam. Hatty has pursued post-grad courses in pain science/chronic pain, and Running Gait Analysis.
When Hatty isn’t at the clinic, she’s likely to be somewhere on the island exploring, camping, or starting a new craft project.
